Important Note About A Recently Sent Email

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT AN EMAIL THAT WAS SENT OUT A FEW HOURS AGO:

Seems like the recipients list was bigger than it should've been... Oh well. We sent out an email aimed at all UK webhosting customers (altaruk and thundercloud), informing about an upcoming migration to a new and better server. This email, however, was not only sent out to all UK webhosting customers, but also customers with webhosting services in other regions as well, which, obviously, caused confusion among those of you who weren't supposed to receive it.

I'm going to be upfront with you: we messed up. I'm not entirely sure how, but this was a human mistake on our part. I'm going to try to reach out personally to all customers that accidentally got the email.

To clear up the confusion: if you have a webhosting service with us in the UK (package names previously called "Starter (UK)" and "Unlimited (UK)"), the email does concern you and you should take action to ensure that your service remains operational after it has been transferred to the new server. Now, if you have acquired any of these packages:

  • Starter or Unlimited (US)
  • Starter or Unlimited (AU)
  • Starter or Unlimited (EU)

Or you know that you have been transferred to Germany already, the email is not meant for you at all, and you do not need to take any action and you can safely disregard that email. If you have already changed your nameservers or the IP addresses, please revert those changes (you may contact us if you require assistance with doing so).

If you require any assistance in regards to this, please contact our DevOps Team directly via ticket: https://sparked.host/ticket/devops
